Dave Barnes is the son of a Presbyterian pastor who moved his family a few times during the developmental years of Dave's childhood.  It seems Dave has used the moving around to different states in the South to be exposed to different styles of music, to which he is now using as the basis for his career in music.  His newest album, "Me + You + The World", with Indie Label Razor & Tie, is a perfect mixture of Acoustic Pop and R&B/Soul music.

Dave now lives in Nashville Tennessee, and among his fans are Amy Grant and Vince Gill who recorded with him on his 2006 album, “Chasing Mississippi.”  Dave is also a very talented comedian, and a search on the internet for videos of Dave will also bring up some of his homemade comedy acts, which by themselves are drawing people to his music.

Dave has works closely with Mocha Club which helps build orphanages and gives job training opportunities to AIDS torn Africa.  Many of the stories in his new album are based on Dave’s experiences in Africa with Mocha Club.
