It seems like there is a formula that every band follows – get a few thousand friends on myspace, get signed to a progressive record label, release a fancy looking cover for their album, and offer a ring tone or two through their website.  The debut album for the new INO Records band, Echoing Angels, has all of these things, and now they’ve also got a great album to back them up.  But Echoing Angels goes even one step further; they performed together for seven years before they signed with INO.  This album is a great combination of rock and worship style music. 

The songs on You Alone complement each other very well in style and lyrics.  To me this sounds like an album instead of just a collection of the band’s best songs.   The title track to the CD, You Alone, describes the need for God alone.  This song receives the most plays through the band’s website.  Coming Back To Life is a worship song that talks of the awakening of a person to their new life in Christ, and the feeling of really living and breathing for the first time.  I can imagine that starting soon this song will be played by a lot of church praise bands as it also has a catchy chorus and a memorable melody.  Hallelujah is another worship style song that I predict will get a lot of radio play and praise band play.

I am excited about this album from Echoing Angels.  They’ve got a full touring schedule following the successful launch of You Alone.  They’ll be playing several well known Christian music festivals this coming summer, where they’ll be able to connect with both old and new fans.  Make sure you don’t miss this album.
