Swimming in doubt and fear
Unaware of what you say
The words that stab beneath this calloused skin
Breaking my flesh and bone
You head 'em down once more
But you don't see these stains make me strong
You can't bring me down,
even through the blood and tears
You can't bring me down
You can’t You can’t
You can’t bring me down. You can’t break me
You can’t bring me down
This is Only the Beginning
Back into my four-wall faith
To heal my gaping wounds
Poisoned with this contagious perfection
Singeing the trust in me
burn the evidence
But you don’t see these scars make me strong

Lindsey:
I was saved when I was 5. I was kind of like little Suzy Christian. I went to church every time the door was open.
Melissa:
I grew up in a Christian home, and I got saved when I was really young.

Jessica:
I grew up in a Christian home, and I was always going to church. I was saved when I was about 9 at a church camp that I went to. When I was around 15 a bunch of families and staff from my church decided to go to this other church that the “original three” girls were going to. I had never met them before until the church was going on a retreat. I didn’t want to go because I was really shy and I was afraid of going because of not knowing anyone. I wasn’t going to go to the retreat until the day before. So I ended up going which happened to be really cool God-thing because that’s where I really met the girls.

Melissa:
When we grew up together we weren’t necessarily friends. We all knew each other since we were very young, but we weren’t really friends until we got to our teenage years. When we were 12 and 13, we started hanging out a lot together. We never thought about the band thing until we were 16. That is when I got my first guitar, and that was when we really started dreaming about being in a band.

Lindsey:
Melissa and I growing up were never friends. I was a big tomboy, and I played outside with all the boys, and she was more girly and stuff. So we didn’t like each other till we were in high school. Katie and I were friends when we were little, and then went through a period where we didn’t like each other. Then in high school, we pretty much became best friends. We helped each other through a lot of hard stuff. We were home schooled, and we had a big support group. Our support group always lifted each other up.
