The National Football League has become the official on-air teammate for Make A Difference Day, the largest national day of service in the United States. Make A Difference Day takes place every year on the 4th Saturday of October. The 2007 celebration is Saturday, October 27.

In the United States today, one in eight women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. An estimated 40,000 women and approximately 1,800 men will die of the disease this year. And most of those deaths could have been prevented with early detection.
